No. There is no need for a joint account in these days of mobile/ online banking. It is just a frivolity.

Lol people want to enjoy things without first considering d cost. Any time one unite to do anything whether as a team group family etc there must be only one leader, not 2. Having 2 leaders in a team will make d team crumble. Its a philosophy of life.

Same applies to this account issue. Only one person must take d lead and there will be peace and not husband and wife claiming equal right over one acct...the acct will crumble. In a family where d wife does not submit to her hubby or hubby not allowing d wife to take decisions in d home and there's lack of trust... Is it such a union that will keep joint acct for long? U can't have d privileges without d responsibilities. Only one person can take a lead in joint or united matters. Its an established fact. And of course trust is needed for that to happen

To agree over a joint acct means that one of them have agreed that my husband or my wife is d head over this acct issue. If you can't agree on that then don't fool urself by starting what will not last.
