This is the same mistake that the media made with Operation Crocodile Smile. This is a training exercise, not a combat mission.

GEJ said he bought warships they said its a lie, let prosperity continue to judge, meanwhile Buhari continues with is brainless approach to Niger Delta issues, people will complain about low output not knowing its their messiah thats instigating it.

If they like they should bring the entire armed forces. The entire Nigerian military can not protect the oil installations in the Niger Delta.
Nobody should cry when warships start getting lit up.

The Late President Musa Yar 'Adua settled with the militant and that brought about the Niger delta amnesty programme.

But the current President Muhammadu Buhari is fooling around braving on his military strength of the federal government and using the military to intimidate the people of the Niger delta.

Buhari and his caliphate ideology does not believe in negotiation he is just buying time as his body language indicate.

How can Buhari be negotiating and at the same time be sending military fighters to the region that he want to establish peace.

Buhari should know that he has less than 2 and half years to be in power and he should stop wasting precious time that he should have used to establish the APC programme.

Unity is not by force but by dialogue and understanding.

I'm not in support of the militants but PMB should realize that there are so many ways to kill a rat in a clay pot without breaking the pot!

This is not the best time for show of force!

Whenever I read comments on nairaland, I get disappointed, but reading comments from people like you is very encouraging.

When I read comments on this forum, I tend to wonder if we do not have objective people again in this country; must everyone take sides? Can't people put down very objective and critical reasoning without any form of biase, having the common good as priority?

Now, to the deployment of warships and soldiers; I won't comment, but just want state categorically here that, this it's a grave mistake. It will never and can never lead to any lasting peace in the Niger Delta; if anything, it will escalate the problem. For those who doubt it, the coming days shall tell.

Until fiscal federalism is introduced, there will always be agitation in the Niger Delta!

what was the result of the dialogue under Yaradua and GEJ?

The problem is, other groups will keep on rising with baseless dialogue that only made their leaders rich and throw their citizens in deep end of poverty!
