Thunder fire Murtala Mohammed inside the grave. He deserves the death he got.Thunder fire Ibrahim Taiwo also, may the blood of the unarmed innocent men and boys they executed in cold blood in Asaba continue to haunt them even in their graves

Thunder did fire Murtala and the evil Col Taiwo. Dimka gunned them both down the same day.

What events are you talking about? Ojukwu was commanding Kano Garrison when the first coup occured. Nzeogwu phoned him and asked him to join the uprising, he refused.

Contrast that to Murtala Mohammed that led a coup which killed over 300 officers, mostly from the Eastern Region.

Ojukwu fought a war to free his people from Northern controlled Nigeria. Wether the war was fruitless or not is not the important thing. The important thing is why he did it. People fight wars of liberation all the time, America did it against Britain, Eitheria did against Ethiopia and so on. People fight to be free, sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesnt as in the case of Ojukwu. However, Ojukwu fought a noble cause which his people appreciate. The fact that he lost is not as important as what he fought for. No pain, no gain.

Murtala Mohammed only ever fought for his fellow Northerners to have control of Nigeria and have access to Oil and Sea port.

The fight for freedom and liberty is not based on propagandas, insinuations and castigations.

My point is that Ojukwu left too soon. Countries who have successfully liberated themselves from oppression and marginalisation never gave up too soon.

Eritreans fought from 1961 to 1991.

south Sudan fought from 1955 to 2011

to gain freedom you people need to go back to the drawing board. freedom is not won on the pages of internet or making noise on an online FM

This thread is about Murtala Mohammed not Ojukwu. What do you mean Ojukwu left too soon? If he didnt leave when he did, he would have been killed and the war would have ended anyway. South Sudan and Eithria did not have Britain, Russia and the Arab league providing unlimited arms and ammunition and millions of Dollars in aid to people they were fighting against as was the case of Nigeria.

But why should people still be fighting and killing each other for their feeedom in Nigeria? Because Lord Lugard came to tell us we are 'one Nigeria'? When we were not together, we were not killing each other.Since Lugard came to force us all together, we have been massacaring each other that we must be together. Where do you see people killing each other to be together? The Government should hold a referndum and let those who want to go to go their way to go. But to hold people against their will and expect progress in the same country is just plain stupid. No forced marriage ever produces any happiness

If your people had been amongst those Murtala killed, you would have been raining curses on him too.
