I have noticed something about etisalat lately and that is if you recharge from your bank, you are given a 10% bonus of recharge from 200 and above. Sweet deal right?

But the catch is when you start making calls, you are been charged from your bonus account at 40K/s and once the bonus is exhausted they immediately start charging you from your main account at the same 40K/s no matter the plan you are on.

So if you are not smart enough to calculate how many minutes your bonus would get you then you would end up paying exceedingly for your calls.

Dunno whose fault it is but I think they can program their system to disconnect after the bonus is exhausted

very true...I once noticed it too and complained to the customer care and she opened up to me that any recharge via atm,vtu or whichever mobile recharge you do, you're being charged 40k/sec no matter your current plan. Since then I stopped doing mobile recharges.

It left me wondering if nigeria is truly ready to move forward.

Actually that happens if you remain on the call. Once you end the call and redial the number, you get charged at the rate that applies to your package
