The quedtion remains why Jonathan couldn't do that and yet some stupid Igbos dared stake their precious lives for the drunky.

As foolish as you want to make yourself feel you forget to realize that there 48 Northern and 48Southern senators... SS has 15 who will definitely support the SE senators except for the Tuface SW 18senators who are born slaves to the fulanis except for the 3from Ekiti who will definitely show solidarity. You also forget to mention the Taraba PDP and Gombe Senators who may also due to party affiliation not support the Loan. You have no idea how politics works really.
OkoYiboz:
North Central (AKA Middle Belt): Benue. Kogi. Kwara. Nasarawa. Niger. Plateau. = 18 Senators

North East: Adamawa. Bauchi. Borno. Gombe. Taraba. = 15 Senators

North West: Jigawa. Kaduna. Kano. Katsina. Kebbi. = 15 Senators

South East: Abia. Anambra. Ebonyi. Enugu. Imo. = 15 Senators

South South: Akwa Ibom. Cross River. Bayelsa. Rivers. Delta. = 15 Senators

South West: Ekiti. Lagos. Oyo. Ogun. Ondo. Osun. = 18 Senators

Politics is a game of numbers. These 15 disgruntled elements from the SE are of no political consequence whatsoever. The ignorant move of these SE Senators explains why the average Igbo man is politically disadvantaged. It is simply because they are not politically savvy.

They could have teamed up with senators from other minorities in Kogi, Nassarawa, Taraba and Plateau and go see the President. Instead, they have gone to advertise their foolishness for the world to see.

The votes of the 15 senators from the SE are as useless as an eunuch's manhood. Their voting effect would be neutralised by the senators from the NC or SW alone and the proposal would pass without their support. When that happens, they either give an ultimatum or cry marginalisation as usual.

Do not underestimate the power of the average lgbo man. That will be your greatest error. The senators of NE, NW, SW and NC were all there, yet like Ekweremadu manovered his way to become deputy Senate president. In the same way they can stop the loan.

This is a pure logical and more knowledgeable perspective of addressing this issue, the said senators were supposed to put these into consideration but rather we the so called common citizens are doing the thinking for them..we hope for the best though.

Your analysis makes sense-die!

First, their trip is a result of an initial foolishness: The 5% debacle.
But they have not learned from it, they believe so much in this sort of BLACKMAIL and AGGRESSIVE tendencies.

They forget that its a "Democracy" and even if you dont like Trump, the fact that he could gather voters in larger numbers and will more Electoral College Votes, means he is the elected President! Deal with it!!

It even amaze me that some of the people commenting here, have NOT seen the breakdown of the loan (what it is intended to be used for), yet they are already saying We Dont need the loan, just because they see S/East written somewhere! grin grin

The same people who say they would not support the loan, should have asked themselves: Does Nigeria need this loan to achieve what it was set-out to achieve?
The next important question is to ask: if we need those things the loan was meant to pay for, where then do we get the money to pay for those things NOW, if the loan is not taken?
Funnily, it is the same people from that side that will be shouting on social media that this Govt is not doing anything, no employment, No Food, e.t.c, forgetting that those things need money to achieve, money which their Daddies and Political god-fathers, including the "team" who visited Buhari, have looted! angry angry

This not about making a case for the inclusion or non inclusion of projects in any part of the country but the highlighted is a gross exaggeration....It is an emotional argument for the sheer hell of it, it has no leg to stand on in reality, it is business EXPENSE not income tax.

Import tariffs & custom duties are part of the cost of acquisition of goods... Any cost incurred in any of the processes will definitely be passed on to the consumer.. So it is not coming directly from importers' pockets... Whatever they pay, they will get back.. cool

You did take the man back to class room. Lol.

My friend go to sleep Nigeria can't fund 2016 budget but they will have money for 50 years of war and they can't even fund to fight Boko Haram . Wishing problem away or name calling can never resolve our problem as Nation. Why are you fighting so hard to live together with MISCREANTS, who are in his/her right mind does that? You may not agree with them but that doesn't mean they are miscreants. They pay taxes and they have the constitutional right to agitate so please stop the name calling.

The SS Senators are not in support of the foolishness of your senators. Stop your houseboy mentality of always attaching yourself to the SS. They are more political savvy than the SE senators who have no idea of how democracies work.

Opposing the proposal was supposed to be straightforward, but your ignorant senators made it an Igbo thing. Now, the sympathetic senators from other ethnicities would be forced to consider the refusal from a tribal perspective.

Unfortunately for your ignorant leaders, the SE doesn't have the knowledge or numbers to play the tribal game.

Lol really no wonder some of your tribes are denying IPOB and pledging loyalty to Nigeria e.g.... Barrister Okonkwo, Govenor Okorocha, The Ministers and state Governors Senators, House of Reps member and some of your leaders like Ekwueme etc... They all pledge Loyalt to Nigeria and still contesting for election in Nigeria.

Most of your brothers troop to North and some to South west daily. If they really need biafra they would have all move back to South West so we know they wanna be on there own.

Those senators are very stupid to say the least. These trips and visits have not changed in 16 years. See them and their region : divided into PDP, APC, APGA, rogues, some of them rigged in, and they are saying how the current HOS "PROMISED THEM this and that".

The same script in 1999 with OBJ
the same script in 2003 with again OBJ
then again with Yar Adua
year in, year out, and all those projects (even the Dry Port that ORJI KALU claimed he would do) are just all talk to dupe people into thinking these "Igbo" leaders are working and serious.

No wonder the call for Biafra and no wonder the total scheming out of Igbo in APC and laughably in PDP.

You want other groups to take you serious? Even some of the Igbo who are really Igbo but claim they are Martians (Ikwerre, Anioma) don't want to be with you because they know at the end of the day, the Okorochas would be in Sokoto riding small horses around while folks in Owerri are starving and having not collected salary, and others in Aba are shot by JTF for hoisting Biafra flag while praising their god.

TOO BAD, if heads don't start spinning from SE senior caucus of jokers
