Type 1 diabetes- your body does not produce insulin
Type 2 diabetes- is the most common where your body does not produce enough insulin for proper function. If left untreated it can cause many complications. The complications may include death, non-ketotic hyperosmolar coma, diabetes ketoacidosis, heart disease, kidney failure, stroke, damage to the eye, foot ulcers and can damage the nerves. Having too much glucose in your body can cause serious problems. Symptoms include frequent urination, increased thirst, increased hunger, weight gain, unusual weight loss, fatigue, slow healing of cuts and bruises, itchy skin, male sexual dysfunction, blurry vision, and headache.
