Wonders shall never end!. During the match between the Swiss and the Italians, a cat ran into the pitch shocked shocked shocked, while the game was on. Immediately the cat left, the Swiss scored a second goal, and almost immediately their captain earned a red card. It was a mixed blessing for the Swiss. Did the cat contribute anything to the match. Was it another Ijebu-ode wonders!. Please I need response.

Nigeria 2009 will ever be remembered for some things e.g a match was played for two days. National Stadium turns river after first match. Now, cat appears in Ijebu-ode stadium. Calabar halts match for almost an hour due to heavy down pour. Kano flood lights fails during a match etc.

Nigeria still cnt make it right nt even learning frm Egypt under 20 world cup. Am more baffled by kano experience bt dis ijebu-ode cat is a usual occurence like squirrel and birds been seen in some stadia in europe during ongoing matches.

If this the first time you are seeing such? It can happen anywhere. What's the big deal?

Pathetic as some of you never see anything and believe nothing good can come out of Nigeria.

If I may ask, in what way have you positively contributed to the growth of the nation?

stuffs like ds can happen anywhere. a squirrel came on the football pitch during a game in the premiership last season, did any one talk abt it?

we'll get there. so pple shld just stop bringing out the bad part of hosting rather than talk abt the good part. the pitches are all green compared to days of sandy pitches.

i will rate this hosting 65% and we will get there

@FBT
I neva talk abt d cat issue as anytin cos its a usual occurence bt d kano floodlight,read my earlier post well.
Again,u people shuld stop handling ths country issue as if we are still infant cos a 49yr old man is no longer a boy bt a man and grandfather for dat sake. Dnt feed hm wt babys feeding bottle cos he's matured enof and if u continue to pamper hm and also pouring praises on hm wheda he does wrong or right,he wl b useless in life.
Just take Angola for example and judge by urself or wait and see hw fantastic d 2010 ANC wl be whch d wl host. They just ended their civil war in ninetees bt d hav a beta structure dan us.we are lagging behind and its d fact,u cn only point at telecom as d only achievement we hav made since independence. Think twice!

U made a point there because Obi is a boy evry year is a bad omen whereas hs mate are men already. Our country Nigeria is stil crawling where other smaller ones are already running and we shuld nt be listening to those selfish politicians that wl be convincing u to agree wt them that we are making progress whch truly they are d one progressing at your expense.i think Fela sang a song of smtin of dat nature.
Truly we are nt making progress.

This ain't the first time an animal will distrupt a football match.
A squirel ran into the pitch during Arsenal's champions league semi-final match against Villareal in 2006 at Highbury.
