Kindly advise me on how to end 2 years virginal discharge of my girlfriend. It was discharge like sticky/ moist tissue paper, yellowish/ milky in color, it smelled very offensive, and complain of hitching ,  We have been to 2 doctors, one gave her injection and some some medicines but it didnt help a bit. We later when to the second doctor who gave her injection also, yitcan (virginal Inserted Medicine), a cream for the surface, and asked us to buy diflocan(a medicine) which we bought. The doctor also told her to do some hygienic process which include soaking and washing pants in hot water, ironing before wear which she did. Although the discharge and the offensive odor stopped after taking the diflocan and when using the inserted drug. Some days after the inserted drug finished, the discharge started again, dirty white-like color, offensive odor, not sticky like before. kindly note that she enjoy sex more when on drug or when she is not discharging but have pains whenever the discharge is around.

I will appreciate constructive responses as this is not a joke becos I dont want this to affect our relationship. Prescription of a better drug is high welcomed and other things that could end this 2 years of unusual discharge. Thank you all, as I hope to read from you soon.

candida ususaly doesnt smell and is white and clumpy. if it is yellow and smells strongly like fish its vaginosis. go see a gynocologist. one who specialises in vaginal disorders. she will have to have a pelvic exam inluding swab samples of the discharge and will need type specific medication for it, also vaginosis can be caused by a foriegn object. piece of a tampon that broke off or similar which may be preventing the medication from working. she needs to see a dr NOW not later NOW. prolonged infection can lead to infertility and depending on the nature of the infection and damage done can lead to the need for a surgical procedure (infected cervix, falopian tubes and ovaries can become gangreous)

you didn't mention if she got tested or not. all you said is she got injected by some doctors who may just as well be quacks cos no real doctor will prescribe anything without proper diagnosis.

there could be many causes for it. yeast infection, or bacterial vaginosis could be the culprit from your description.

i dont know the type of test those doctors did, but she seriously need a pap smear. with the pap smear if its an infection which likely its, it can be detected and treated. the pap is done by collecting the swab of her cervix and testing it.

next time you go the doctor request that he/she refers you to a gynecologist for the pap smear test. general doctors can do it too. but make sure she gets a pap smear.
