Please, Educate us.

A country where her citizens do not pay tax will NEVER grow. Everybody wants to leave Nigeria to the USA, yet very few knows that you get to pay between 40-50% of your monthly salary as tax (both sate and federal tax)

I know a guy who earns $6,000 monthly in the US, he pays 45% of this as tax, pays $1,200 as rent, around $350 as utilities bill, aound $320 as insurance, buys petrol and feed himself. How much does he have left?

The UK pays similar tax and that's why these countries are growing massively.

If Nigeria wants to grow, we have to start taking taxes seriously!

Really, and all the taxes de govt has collected in de last 10yrs, what visible or measurable things have dey dine with it? Don't be dumb.
If there are people not paying or regularly paying their taxes, its de private sector because civil servants are subjected to pay-as-you-earn PAYE, which means taxes are deducted from source b4 they receive their salaries.

Buhari should stop oppressing the poor, tax the rich for christ sake. A very good opportunity to slash not just salaries but also allowances of those old men sitting in the house of reps and assembly. Tax those who own more than 2 cars, big mansions etc not trying to kill the already dead masses. You haven't done anything for them but yet you keep trying to milk life outta them

Terrible mentality. The rich worked hard for their money. And no, I'm not rich YET. But I'm certain that this mentality will never make me rich.

Well my Salary wasn't slashed instead FG added more for FGN research development.

Implementing the law properly should not be termed as salary reduction. My salary was not reduced in any way because I have been paying my full tax previously. People should pay their taxes accordingly and stop complaining and misinforming the public.
