Thats a Very Low Mileage, and the Car Looks Sharp too, Loaded with all The options Available to an EX.

This is a Highly Recommended Purchase, Independent Inspection is a sure way against buying cars with potential problems

Keep it up DizzyBizzy.

Its not common for the Baale of Nairaland autos to endorse a vehicle.

but Accidented(Salvage)+Naija Used.

These two factors should drop the price considerably.
Re: SOLD!!! 2005 Honda Accord EX For Cheap Sale! by pummps: 11:41pm On Nov 12, 2009
A salvage vehicle is not necessary a cheap cap especially when fixed in the US. The extent of damage might not be visible now but I bet at 30k miles, it has not been flogged. The engine will still be begging for action, the interiors will be in good shape. However, a thorough inspection will convince you.
Also, salvage is a label for damage major or minor as long as its reported. A collision requiring only the change of fender for instance is labeled as salvage. Total loss on the other hand means that the cost of repair outweighs the value of the car so its written off. Remember, their economy over there encourages citizens to let go of old cars to pick up brand new ones to aid the manufacturers. This makes the insurance companys also still be in business.
I would say that 8 out of 10 vehicles that come in from the US have the salvage title. This does not mean they are cheap. I advise that we can only be guided by the VIN runs and follow up with a thorough inspection.

Thanks a Lot d-ROC and Pummps,

A Lot of US attach so much contempt to the Word ''Salvaged'' without Understanding the full and appropriate Meaning.

A Laymans' Explanations would be to ask that If a Man had Headache/fever, Fell Ill and Was treated fit back to normal, does that not make him Less Functional as a Man again ?

If We are to Condemn Every human being that had ever Fallen Sick at any point in time during their Life History, how many "Clean Title" Human being Would be Left ?

NOT ALL SALVAGED VEHICLES ARE BAD. Vin Checks are Good and Im in 100% Support of it, but An Independent Inspection is the Best Guide against Buying Vehicles With Potential Problems

The 2005 Honda Accord EX Advertised has done only 31,000 miles, An Average 2005 Honda Accord Is Expected to have done 60,000 miles, 59,999 miles is regarded as Low mileage for the Year Model.

This Car has done Only Half of the Expected Average Required, It is Still very Sharp.

Any Amount Hovering around 2 million Naira Is a Very Good Deal for thiss Vehicle

Mr Inspired what an illustration. Comparing humans to machine, Blood aint gas u know. The truth is that once those salvaged vehicles are fixed, u can hardly notice anything on personal inspection. The carfax report is d only judgemental tool we've got.

Vin Report is Good Like I Said, Im in 100% Support of it, and It is mandatory to advertise Vehicles With Vin, But Im explaining The actions that follows after Vin Checks.
Dont Judge a Car From the Vin Report Alone, Conduct an Independent Inspection.

The Ffg Quotes are Culled from Carfax Webpage http://www.carfax.com/about/data_sources.cfx

Before you buy a used car, we recommend that you get a CARFAX Report, take a test drive, and have the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic
.

However, we do not have all accidents as many have never been reported, or may only have been reported to a source to which CARFAX does not have access. We recommend that any car be inspected by a qualified mechanic prior to purchase to make sure the vehicle is functioning properly and check for signs of unreported damage.
