Yes, I officially welcome you all to this thread.

I know most of us are currently on IT but this thread will go a long way in preparing our minds toward the journey ahead, like schools to select, mode of selection etc

Share the school you graduated from, the ones you're aspiring for, course and grade.

Example:

School: The Polytechnic Ibadan. ND level

Schools in view(s): OAU, LAUTECH

Course: Computer engineering

Grade: Distinction

Oya, Diploma guys, Cambridge, IJMB, degree guys, former polytes (Ex DE-ites) welcome on board. Lastly, if you've been trying before don't relent THIS IS YOUR YEAR, just believe.

You tried UNN electrical engineering? UNN is competitive so is your course. I guess 2.13 is lower credit. Am I right? If so, I've helped with a list of schools that accept lower credit.

University of Calabar, UNICAL.

Anambra State University, ANSU,
Uli (and Igbariam).

Niger Delta University, NDU,
Wilberforce.

Igbinedion University, Okada.

University of Jos, UNIJOS.

Nasarawa State University
(NSUK), Keffi.

Enugu State University of Science
and Technology, ESUT.

University of Ilorin, UNILORIN (for
History and Performing Arts).

Usman Dan Fodio University
Sokoto (UDUSOK).

University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN)

Osun State University (UNIOSUN)

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu
University formerly Anambra State
University (ANSU)

University of Maiduguri
(UNIMAID)

Nasarawa State University
(NSUK), Keffi

Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University,
UMYU

Federal University of Technology,
Minna, FUTMINNA (But VERY COMPETITIVE, a friend of mine chose them this year with Lower credit and had 281 in their post DE exams, but no admission yet)

NOTE: Some of the above listed schools also accept upper credit for some courses. you can also check jamb 2016 brochure for more school.

Bro, to be on the better side I'll advise you to buy JAMB form and choose a different school from the ones you'll choose for DE.

Don't just select schools because of the name, try checking the number of applicants and weigh your chance of being admitted before selecting.

If you're swaping course make sure it correlates with the course you previously studied.

Lol bro, not really because of BSc but when you eventually get into the system you'll understand why. If you've resumed try all you can to graduate with better grades and don't make female your priority.

Note: there are thousands of people going for HND but someone can not just do something because thousands of people are doing. The dichotomy between BSc and HND in Nigeria is high, so one has to step up his or her game.

There are guys that did HND that are also doing fine o. Abeg no panic, you're in the right path. :-)

Ayinde, yes there are schools that accept AAT for direct entry all you just need is to do research. Well, I've helped you with that, Mr. Mayorde ( a nairalander) said in one thread in 2008 that OAU, UNN, OOU, UNIBEN etc accept AAT for DE.

The same Mr. Mayorde later used AAT for DE into UNIBEN and graduated as department and faculty best. Give it a shot bro cool

Evening bro, my say is 'you're good to go'. Nobody knows anybody's chance, since UI minimum requirement is upper credit. How strong is your O'level?

UI does not conduct post DE exam,so I guess emphasis MAY be on CGPA and O'level.

You might want to opt for OAU, they conduct post DE exam and if you can ace the exam with your grade you're good to go.

I'm sorry bro, I'm afraid no university expect the university you did your diploma will accept it according to new NUC policy.

So, you can only apply to university of Maiduguri with your diploma.

OAU did not conduct post D.E exam this year due to d cancelation of pume exam and screening result is base on o'level. so they admit base on o'level and grade this year

U finished with a pass form a private university. I just wanna advise you to take the bold step of picking another jamb form, prepare well and forge ahead through utme. It may be near impossible through DE.

Bro, proceed with your ND programme with the sole aim of crossing over. Don't wait one second if u have the chance to cross. Things are hard in this country, no matter what idea you have, if u don't have B.Sc, they may die with you. Make the right decision bro.

My alma mata. I'll advise you to be very careful before filling UI. It's a dicey decision owing to the fact that the school has preference for A/level over National diploma. To be candid, ur chance is just too slim because u finished with upper credit. My friend who finished for elect with distinction tried but wasn't selected. Be very careful except of course u know someone.
