The 2016 edition of the Nigeria Music Video awards went down last night in style and glam. The event was held at the prestigious Eko Hotel and Suites and the highly placed dignitaries of the Nigerian society were present at the event.

The event had in attendance the likes of the Ooni of Ife, Chief Sir Emeka Ayaoku, Kenny Ogungbe, Dele Momodu, Tuface Idibia and many others. Comedian Okey Bakassi was one of the hosts of the glamorous night where loads of awards were carted away.
The likes of Cdq, Harrysong, Reekado Banks, Ozzbosco, Seyi Shay, Small Doctor, Adasa Cookey and many others carted away NMVA awards for various categories.

The theme of the NMVA’s this year; A violence free world: The Peace Icon saw to the reason why Nigeria’s stood in awe for peace ambassadors to be recognized and a Peace icon crowned. Amongst the peace ambassador’s recognized include: Ubong King, Sheila Okonji Ashenze and the Arole Ooni of Ife. Chief Sir Emeka Ayaoku, was crowned as the peace icon of the night.
The night ended with performances from different A list Nigeria artistes present at the event.
