Forget about what you hear on the sides, Google Trends has revealed from their official and authentic analytics, the most searched Nigerian songs on their database. And the Number 1 spot winner is Kiss Daniel’s all-year-banging hit single Mama which was produced by YBNL in-house producer, Young John.

Although topping the list is not an award, it is yet a milestone achievement as it enhances the brand value of the winner. Besides claiming top spot, the G-World Wide sensation and YBNL boss, Olamide emerged top on the list, claiming two spots each.

Below are the other top 9 songs on the list.

2. Pana – Tekno Miles

This song is a sure contender for number one spot. But then, we can only have one number right? Tekno’s chances of winning the “Next Rated artiste” for which he has been nominated at the next Headies awards depends on this track. That’s for sure.

3. Jombo – Kiss Daniel

Jombo? Not the kind of hit that should be up here in number 3. But kudos to the G-Worldwide team for a well done video. Surely helped the searches.

4. Who You Epp – Olamide

No mistakes, this list would surely raise brows without a mention of YBNL boss, Olamide. This title surely should be here. Whether number 4 is an appropriate spot is an issue for another day.

5. Ishe – Lil kesh

Lil Kesh sure has a different kind of appeal, as he sensationally hits the vulgar buttons inside many. We believe he deserves what he gets.

6. Soft Work – Falz

It’s amazing how and why Falz isn’t higher up this list. But, we don’t have contrary data to fault google’s tested and trusted analytics. ‘Any which way’ Falz deserves the nod.

7. Ready – Adekunle Gold

Either this song or another from his many thrillers, hit maker Adekunle Gold deserves his place on Google list. No question.

8. One Dance – Wizkid (featured by Drake alongside Kyla)

Many have questioned Wizkid’s performance on this track. But that obviously didn’t stop him from getting a mention on the list. Didn’t stop him from getting a Grammy Award tag either.

9. Bank Alert – Psquare

Following the in-fighting that almost tore the beloved group apart in 2016, the Okoye brothers, Psquare, bounced back with this song which became an instant fan hit. The song dropped late, but it’s appearance on the list just shows how massive the PSquare duo are in the music scene.

10. Abule Sowo – Olamide

The First Son of Lagos new generation musicians pops up again with this hit single produced by Pheelz. Olamide is worthy of any mentions he gets
