my own case is different . jamb hasn't given me admission letter. For that of my school, our names were uploaded as second batch and it was later removed from there portal. now, jamb nor my school I haven't given me admission letter.

Jamb has long been undermined by our various Higher institutions. True, jamb is a stepping stone to go forward, but these institutions have found a way to decide an applicant's fate regardless of whatever he/she scored in jamb. It's really sad cus jamb are aware of these malfunctions in the system but pretend not too.

d jamb admission letter Is not effective. am talking from experience. if u type my jamb registration no now, they will write "no admission given yet"but my name is in the school list. At a point, it became a tin of worry to me but thank God I have graduated and currently serving.

My question is what did you use to replace jamb admission letter during clearance?

I can say it's God. I was not asked of it during clearance. just pray

I am an admission officer in a Federal University. For you to have JAMb admission letter, it implies that your Jamb registration number was presented by that school for admission in Jamb. However, in your situation, there is a probability that your name was mistakenly not uploaded on the University website. If you print the letter and do a follow up to the University, you could be considered.
Also note that Jamb admission letter is an equally important document as it would be requested for during your registration, if you want to apply for any scholarship and during mobilization for NYSC. Without Jamb admission letter, bro no NYSC for you o.

I am an aspirant too, i applied for medicine in BSU but was offered PHE.. Where as it reflected on JAMB site that i have been offered admission in medicine.
So according to the instruction given to us by the school, we were to go and do a change of course if the course offered to us isn't the one we initially applied for...

My brother I'll advice you wait for another list (if at all there is) cause am afraid the school won't consider the course offered to you by JAMB. whats on jamb site just shows that you are eligible for that particular course in that particular school...

Guys please I want to know how effective the jamb admission letter is compared to school admission letter. . . Because just like every other people that I've been seeing jubilating and flaunting their jamb admission letter on NL, I was also given.
But I was shocked to find out that I wasn't on the list when I checked my school admission list yesterday, and also very sad. . . And I've heard few times that jamb admission letter is better to be relieved on than school's . . But even though, am a little bit wary not to see my name.
So the question is, Is it really something I should be worried about or not? Should I rely more on the jamb admission letter more and print it? (Cause I haven't) . . . Please I would like to be educated about this cause it seems to be bothering my mind ever since I went through the list and couldn't hold sight of my name. . . And am sure some people may also be in need of the answers to this same question as well. . .
I would be honored to have someone reply to this please!!!

Go and print the jamb admission letter. you don't need to worry. it is your school that forward your name to jamb

BTW i went to keffi, turns out my name is actually on the list but nsuk changed my course from computer science to statistics{donno anything about that course though} my mistake was not checking all through the list.a

honestly its currently the most ridiculous thing that I've experienced about admission. . . And the thing is, the school have posted the first and the second batch. . . And i can't find my name

You should have mentioned the name of the school for proper guidance. The two are equal to me, but it has to do with the school. Jamb admission letter seems more powerful, it's one of the prerequisite for applying for undergraduate scholarships in Nigeria. Also, I don't think there is any school that doesn't recognise Jamb admission letter. As for the school, be patient, everything will be rectified once admission process start.

You have been admitted, jamb gives admission first before school does. You have nothing to worry about. When school resume start your registration. Your name will surely reflect then.

Both admission letters are powerful regarding when the need of each is required.

But in terms of being admitted to any university as an undergraduate, then school admission letter takes precedence over Jamb admission letter. (though you must have Jamb admission purposely because of Jamb number fot future use like; scholarship, NYSC processing, etc)

Even before school published /release admission list to the public, there must be criteria, some fees to be paid and other requirements solely required by the prospective school in which you are seeking admission inspite of the fact that Jamb had abolished POST-UMTE.

So if you had meet all the requirements by the school but the school didn't admit you although JAMB gave you admission to the same school, then my candid advice is for you to visit the school with all your relevant documents including the original print of the JAMB admission to ascertain the reasons why you aren't on the admission list.

BTW endeavour to check ur school list department by department, ur school probably gave u another course... thats what happened to me though i sha cried o because i was quite surprised at everything till a guy dat does data capture in school helped me checked and saw dat my name is in the school's list, i didnt knw because i checked only my department.

But you said something just now, can someone check if he is admitted or not with data capture Cus one man (probably working at jamb office) told me that I should go to the school to verify just like you said.

yes if you have some1 who can do it for you in school... you can use your reg number to verify

Gud day sir... i qot admission in two differnt universities... uniport and uni. Of bayelsa... i chose to study in uniport.. but its fed. Uni. Pls, make sure u get ur jamb admission letter.. U will need it if you are applying for scholarship, on your final Clearance(first clearance in school when you are asked to resume ),NYSC etc.

Told you I'll give you feedback. Thank God for me o Ive been given admission. . . Oops!! It wasn't an easy one but thank God it ended with something to smile for. . My brother went to one of the school's registrar he knew. . And with a lot of explanation plus begging(begging is obvious), he decided to help me. . . Am sure if its one of the southern universities registrar, he would disgraced. But thank God Hausa people dey geh joy. . . And maybe i forget to say this, The man didn't collect a dime. As in no chichi. He took him to the admission letter coordinators and told them to insert my name . . Like say na jazz
