I'm getting the 3G UMTS icon on my phone in Port Harcourt. I've heard Celtel is poised to introduce their 3G service in nigeria, after a successful demo of the technology in abuja last june

at this point i can't connect to this service, calls don't go through over the 3G network and it appears and dispears at random.
Let's hope this 3G stuff becomes a reality soon

I am expecting same in Lagos too. We shuld be getting Signals too

My phone is 6680.
I got the signal for 3G signal on two network namely celtel and Glo btw december 2006 and sept 2007 but unable to connect stay for max of 1min.
This is the break down;
Dec and Jan-Magodo,lagos.
feb-festac4 22/23 road,lagos
march and april-Allen Avenue,ikeja,lagos.
Recently sept 6 adeniyi jones,ikeja,lagos on celtel only.
Appear 8am and 1pm but not everyday.
