Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Martins Azubuike, has resigned to pave way for Ikuku. Ikuku is the son of immediate past Governor T.A Orji.
An option he chose to avoid impeachment. Some say however, it is in keeping with a pact he signed with Ikuku to be speaker for 12 months.
