Following this thread https://www.nairaland.com/3545214/5-best-nigerian-cities-live has made me wonder what makes Lagos such an amazing place for doing business and other cities such as Ibadan, much less so?

All along i have assumed that the secret to Lagos's success was its huge population and concentration of skilled workers, but then Ibadan is similarly well-populated and has good concentrations of both skilled workers and less-skilled workers. So what gives?

And what could/should be done to make Ibadan and other major cities more competitive?
