If we are to use such yardstick, then all former heads of state from the north will be crucified.
They have been in power for over majority of our post independence life but most of their people live in abject poverty and backwardness.

Imagine if these people were able to control their resources.

That's why I shake my head when I see some Ijaw folks screaming one Nigeria and still waiting for resource control after 50 years of begging

I blame GEJ an indigene of BAYELSA for this, because he was nigeria president for 6 years and he didn't bother to do something in that aspect.

GEJ administration tried so many times to Pass the PIB law which would have been a game changer for states and host communities producing oil but the Northern dominated senate and house of reps wouldn't allow that to happen.

If you want, continue blaming GEJ while the facts are in front of you and easy to look up.

The main gold of the entire southern part of Nigeria ,from Lagos to Akwa ibom,is not the black Gold (oil) . The gold mine is tourism .
The picture ought to be showing ferries transporting tourists and not a rickety boat transporting refugee-like citizens .
With criminal militants, kidnappers , armed robbers , herdsmen, yahoo yahoo, corrupt unions ,thugs ,,terrorists ,religious extremists, corrupt armed forces ,pirates and corrupt, incompetent dunderhead politicians ruling the roost, NO HOPE.
Even Turkey in spite of all the terrorist attacks still attracts tourist

This isn't about southern Ijaw only but most riverine areas in delta and bayelsa. From burutu in delta state to Southern Ijaw in bayelsa, though some of the goods might be too heavy for the speed boats to transport.

Identify one past president that did something tangible to their hometown?

Leave GEJ out of this.

These pictures bring memories of my time in one of the riverine Ijaw communities of Delta State. That boat is freaking slow but steady enough to suffer negligible impact from the waves on the high sea.

When they think of how best to entertain their pathetic lives, they attack the Ijaw people, look how one idi0t came here to post a picture and said its Southern Ijaw mode of trasnportaion. If you tell the f00ls that they lack exposure and intelligence usually brought about by travelling to other places, they'll start messing their underwears. I guess Gej was to use his personal salary or the entire Nigerian resources to buy boats for every Niger Deltan or maybe in their lunacy, its economically viable to build roads on every single stretch of water not minding minor things like terrain or population density. We all can't think or behave like motor park touts so allow us our choice cool

From the background, I can see nice bungalows around the waterside, so there z nothing wrong in using this type of boat in a Riverine community.

Una funny eh.
People who strongly blv that GEJ is better than PMB now look for comparisms

So because the not failed to develop should be the reason to justify the state of Bayelsa under GEJ

They did it so GEJ too can do it
Sorry for you bro
