Am interested in 2008-2010 Mercedes-Benz ML model. However, I don't know whether to go for ML350 (V6) or ML550 (V8).

Mileage, [b][/b]drivability, reliability, and resale value.

I just got a ML 350 from olx recently and i made a wise choice. the ML550 is better in tech n looks but MY BRODA NA MECHANIC WIN AM O. MECHANICS FIND ML350 MORE AFFORDABLE IN TERMS OF REPAIRS N CHANGE OF PARTS N MAINTENANCE. SO GUY I ADVICE U TO SETTLE O FOR ML350.

How is the handling and mileage?

First, why would you be confused about choosing between a 6 cylinder & 8 cylinder engine?

because that's the only difference i see in your options.

I know this is a forum where anyone can ask for and receive information... but some questions really seem "dumb" to a lot of folks here

I respectfully disagree. The 550 V8 will pull away from ALL pursuers on the highway, without breaking a sweat, while the turbo 6 cylinder will be pushed to its limits in any vehicular chase. As for fuel economy, the V8 is VERY economical under normal driving, BUT when you need to ESCAPE from danger, fuel economy will be the LAST thing on your mind as you stomp on the loud pedal.

If you intend to use that ML in Nigeria, where the only growth industry is now kidnapping, then you will appreciate the importance of V8 power on demand. Leave nothing to God. Settle for nothing. Go V8, or stay home.

Go forth, young man and procure the ML550. The Oracle has spoken.

Thanks very much Sir. I am using GX470 Lexus for about 4 years now. I feel it is high time I moved to something different but I have never ventured into Mercedes-Benz before so my curiosity on people's views on the duo of ML350/550.
I will go for the adventure

I will advice the V6 cos its cheaper to run, If you're into Mercedes you would know that most recent V8 engines comes with Airmatic suspension and with this exchange rate it would run into millions. I have driven both cars and the difference in power isn't very much.

From 09 upwards.
However you should also note there are Ml550's with regular suspension instead of air suspension. Goodluck with your purchase, and put up pictures...

the Facelifted version is bettee looking with the headlight and modified bumper. so from 2009 to 2012.

I think only the ML500 2006 the first batch with M113 engine have the spring suspenaion.

He is absolutely correct the ML550 is a better car and its top of the line the is why is way expensive to maintain and repair.

By the way, an AMG model of ML550 was also release for a limited number.
