Miss Tanzanian 2016 contestant, Queen Nazil, from Ilala range in Dar es Salaam, was assaulted by a posse of thieves last Saturday night in the wake of being dropped at home by a friend.

"She had recently arrived home following a night out with friends; and when she was sitting tight for her sister to open the door, two men on a motorbike trapped her, requesting she gives them her purse," said a friend.

"Since the purse had her telephone, iPhone 6 demonstrate, TSh200, 000 (KSh9, 400) and different assets, Queen attempted to oppose, and that is the point at which one individual from the group cut her in the head with a panga. She collapsed, and was left bleeding profusely,"

The Tumaini University Third Year Bachelor of Law student was rushed to a Dar es Salaam doctor's facility for urgent care. Her friend said she is reacting admirably to treatment.

Police in Dar es Salaam are as of now searching for the burglars.
