The people are scared over the political crisis which has been rocking West African country.Gambia's largest city, Serekounda, is like a ghost town, according to reports. Its busiest market has been deserted as shops and stalls have been shut down following the political tension in the country over refusal of president Yahya Jammeh to step down.

Serekunda is about 13km (eight miles) south-west of the Gambian capital, Banjul...

I like Gambians they are very smart people,they didn't bother to wait for the war before they packed their belongings
The incoming president isn't very smart either,he supposed to have instructed his supporters to pick up arms against Jamiu by now so that ecowas troop can use the excuse to enter immediately

No disrespect but Perhaps Aba in the 60s look better than Aba in the 21st century.

Serrekunda is not a city. Its just a low-income part of Banjul. You could consider this one of the slums and i think for that status this is actually pretty decent by African standards.

Instead of sending soldiers and killing innocent people, making more orphans and widows, ECOWAS no fit just sanction the country so that its own citizens can revolt against the useless dictator abi

You see...

This was the expectation of Buhary and APC in 2015, believing that GEJ as an incumbent will NOT handover power peacefully, hence threatening Fire and brimstone...

Safety first...

A president that loves his people will make a statement that sounds like this;
"My ambition is not worth the blood of any Gambian"
This one statement is enough to boost your international respect, earn you awards and make you an African statesman and many more of such things. But you see, not all of us have a golden heart for our people. This (God forbid) will send Gambia back to 1800AD.
God help them.
