Seconded. Abia Camp remains d best as long in I concern. I camped there and I enjoyed every bit of my staying

if all this things u just mentioned are true. I will serve in Abia then. Beside that is my state of origin.

ask about fanitau camp in jigawa and know that abia camp is no where close.... tiled rooms and bathroom.... water also flows in d bathroom, light is almost 24/7...only d day I resumed camp I charged my phone in mami all thru my phone was charged in my room.... just left d camp today

oyo too has the same features as ogun...good food,serene environment,good accomodation,24/7 electricity supply,running water etc

I agree 100%. I'm a 2016 Batch A corp member. Camp Abia really tried. Water is 24/7. Other camps should emulate them.

I concur. Fanisau is good. Was commissioned by Jonathan in late 2014. Camped there early 2016.

Politically speaking, Abia State pays corpers allawee but only to those posted to State-owned institutions. On paper, we are paid 5k/month translating to 50-60k @ the end of our service year. But you know the funny thing? We don't see a dime. The government will just give 5-10k as TP fare at the end of our service year. Nevertheless, things may change you know

I'm sorry for the OP. Abia state is one of the worst states to serve. I'm currently serving in in Abia state. I must admit the camp is OK but men the people are hostile and unwelcoming to strangers. The only thing they are good at is cheating strangers most especially Corp members in khaki in every possible way. They see Corp members as money bags. If I have never met, grew up with and have friends who are easterners I would have had the wrong impression of easterners.

Before i went for service, trust me, i have heard lots of terrible stories from many people. Even from those that have never being to the gate of any camp. They told me a book-full of different "Faboos". lol....

I heard about the terrible lifestyle on camp; the maltreatment corpers receive from camp soldiers; the sickness and lots more. Am very sure you heard the same stories too, or perhaps you will soon hear them.

I flow with the "Faboos" part. It seems like almost everybody has something to say about NYSC and camp, with endless advice on what to do with one's life during the service year. But I think at the end of the day, it's up to everyone to make their stories and beyond that, share it.
