Just tap on the right hand top corner of you screen and delete chat.

You only delete chat the contact is still there. Remember I didn't save the number on my phone but the number is on my telegram contact list!

If the person is disturbing you,you can report spam....or go to your search...among the suggestions of contacts you should tap and hold on the circle and remove contac t.

Telegram is a good app, the only problem I have with it is that you can't clear all chats when you're in a group. Even when u clear all the chats u still keep seeing them. Am afraid the bulk of messages will slow down my phone
