This is what Fashola advised people like Prof. Maurice Iwu. How can we have people who are researchers and we don't fund them to do research. Thank God the Govt. has restarted then research drive.

For those of you condeming this move, you think too small. This Medicinal Rice, when successful, will not be for Nigeria alone, but the market will be for the whole world. Researchers in advanced countries are actually excited at collaborating with those in emerging economies

You can't be so sure. Genetic modification can knock out some of the alelles and transform the genes.
