Advice Me: How Should I React To My Wife About TTC by Nobody: 4:11pm On Feb 22, 2017
I have been married for so many years but no issue. Now, I don't know how to react and behave around my wife. The truth is I'm fed up but I don't want to show it especially, I don't want her to know.

Any advice?

It could be really draining

Have you both been to the doctors?

Support her.
Both of you should be prayerful.
See your doctor always.

At your time she'll conceived. Just hang in there.

It can be pretty frustrating for both of you, especially if you want kids so bad.
Anyways, there's usually a way out. Have you both seen fertility specialists? Have you both being investigated for the cause of infertility? It could be from either of you.
Its important you have that discussion with each other, admit there's a problem and find a solution to it.
Try and see fertility doctors, find out the costs of treatment/IVF, save towards it and go for it.

Like others have said, have you both seen doctors and gone through tests?
You're in this together so you need to support her. Both of you should be prayerful and get into activities that make you busy and at the same time gives you fulfillment.
Get a support system. There's a TTC thread in the health section.

Fed up as in how? Like its her fault and you can't endure anymore but want to seek alternate options or it's your fault, you can't bear it anymore and want to yield to extreme measures?

I'm not in your shoes so I can't say I know what you are passing through, neither am I in the best position to proffer solutions. Hell, No one here is because you and your wife are different so what works for others might not work for you.

However, I do know that marriage is for better for worse. This is probably an example of that "worse". My take on this is that, it's you and your wife against the in-laws, neighbours and the whole world. You don't split and abandon her in the name of being fed up. Support your wife. You didn't marry her just to make babies. You married her to live your lives together. So LIVE right and leave what's left for God.

Good luck sir

It must really be overwhelming for you two.
What have you guys done so far about the situation?
You may not be as lucky as Sarah and Hannah. You may just need more than sitting down, praying, fasting and hoping.

A lot of couples have been blessed through assisted reproductive technology. Your miracle may also come through it.

A procedure that best suits your case and budget will be chosen for you and your bundles of joy may come sooner than you think.

Don't sit around feeling sorry for yourself. You've tried the churches i'm sure, now is the time to be proactive. You're the man and the leader of your home, use the internet and make your research on ART. Take your wife along with you to a fertility clinic, discuss with the Doctors, tests will be carried out and you'll be advised on the next step to take. Get the cost and plan towards it.

If you've tried ART, keep trying. Some people try a few times before finally succeeding, yet there's no giving up. There are lots of options available to you. Tell us what you've done so far apart from prayer and fasting.

You'll be a father soon, all the best.

You've just wasted a lot of years. If you had even adopted, it wouldn't have been wasted after all.

I advise couples to seek medical advise if they fail to conceive after ONE year of actively trying regularly without the use of contraceptives. There may not really be a problem but just do it. It's better than waiting two, three, six years before taking a step.

Don't allow your wife's eggs to keep aging smiley, save yourself the long years of stress, anguish and unnecessary spiritual battles.

Nigerians are funny. We never address the issues at hand. At Op, i understand it can be frustrating, it might seeem like the love is almost drifting apart and you feel like abandoning her for someone else. TTC is never a smooth situation for any couple. This is where the issue of why did you get married crops up.
Hang in there, hopefully you guys would conceive sooner than later. The important thing is to love each other and reassure each other. Do not allow external pressure, side talks and silly advice get to you. As a last resort you can always get a surrogate or adopt. The only thing without remedy is death. Cheers.

Go for IVF if you have the money.

Chai...
She may likely have a hint of how you feel already. Some partners can read the countenance and hidden emotions of their long term partners. Its not easy on any of you. It may be worse for her sef since we are Africans. Just keep trying your best to be loving and supportive while making serious continual efforts to conceive. Medical and spiritual (prayers, fasting etc) efforts.
If you try to control any negative thoughts n emotions in you, it will not come up to the surface and show for her to see. By this I mean thoughts of leaving her or taking another wife to try with. God be with you and answer your prayers this year.

Oops, i can imagine what u ar goin through right now, but looking unto God and been prayerful should be the paramount thing now . i knw as a human this thoughts may come forth, But my brother i will advise u to put it aside and embrace ur wife cos this time u both need each other. While praying, ask God to intervene by his divine mercy.
