I'm an advocate of not getting divorce as God hates it. He created marriage and expects us as couples to grow in it through thick and thin that is why we take an oath before God and people during weddings.

Seeing as divorce is now the order of the day as people even celebrities just dump the union at the slightest provocation from any party., I just want to ask a question. Although I do know that domestic violence is what mostly necessitate these divorces. The question goes thus:

If there had been serious domestic violence during Jesus' days on earth both in the old and new testament, would He have also added domestic violence as one of the reasons why either party might consider their exit from the marriage union?
