Leaving seems like a better option
Escape path it appears to many
Those who seldom win will pass through this route
'Its shorter...' they say and 'Faster...' they muse
But they forget that there is Hope
They forget there is Hope in Jesus
For He is the Hope for a better tomorrow they wait for
They muse, they whine, they clutter, they scatter in fact
But in all, they feel empty, left alone, and left behind
He’s being standing all along; waiting
If only they knew
The master’s love would overwhelm them
It will receive them
And give them the brighter Light they desire
But alas!
They look dimly at the future
And cannot see the Light which shines so bright
That it’s blinding the eyes!
Oh! If only they could behold Him!
If only they could see their future from the pages of scripture
If only they would receive sight and plunge ahead
For the Victory that awaits them
The Victory He wrought on their behalf
The Victory is here for them
The Victory is real
He’s overcome for them
He’s made them Victors
You’re no less a Victor I tell you
You’re more than a conqueror
He has made you Light!
And Light you have become
And Light you will be!
Hurry and catch this Light that Jesus gives
Don’t lie low any longer
Stand! Plunge ahead! He’s waiting!
To receive you, To Love you, To Behold you as you really are
Arise! Shine! For your Light is finally come!
