PDP Youths Ask Magu To Vacate EFCC Office by Nobody: 11:38pm On Mar 26, 2017 |
The People’s Democratic Party Youth Frontiers has asked the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu to vacate the office he currently occupy. In a statement by Comrade Usman Okai, the National Coordinator of PDPNYF, insisted that having been rejected by the Senate, which is the only institution vested with the powers to confirm or reject nomination into office the EFCC Chairman, Mr Magu has no business remaining in the office. EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu “Magu continuous stay as EFCC Acting Chairman even when rejected by the Senate on the ground of credible security report from the DSS is a display of illegality and corruption. The EFCC is not the permanent place of abode for Magu, he can’t continue to function in an office that the Senate has found him incapable of.” “The fact is that DSS clearance is a prerequisite for any clearance, having indicted Magu for corruption and gross misconduct, the Senate was left with no choice but to reject Magu. If Magu has any shred of honey left in him, he will honorably quit and clear is name instead of dragging the anti-corruption agency to the mud.” “There is no section of EFCC Act that allows for a Chairman to be operating in acting or substantive capacity when he has been rejected by the Senate. The law must not be turned in its head because of Ibrahim Magu”, the statement reads. The group enjoined the President to select from among credible Nigerians for the position so that the war against corruption must be fought without any iota of bias or witching. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/03/pdp-youths-ask-magu-vacate-efcc-office/ 1 Like 1 Share

After giving the issue of Magu a proper consideration, I think PMB should remove him and replace with a tougher person. Surely there are tougher guys who will do better than Magu. The president only needs to do his due diligence in unearthing him. Then, we'll wait to hear from the thieves calling themselves senators. 2 Likes |
