This is counter thread to "Pastor David Ibiyeomie Vs Kemi Olunloyo: Forgiveness Is Unnegotiable"

I first read through the post and decided to ignore the post, but I couldn't. This ignorance will continue until someone starts speaking up.

Although I have replied the post, but I want it to be more than that.

The writer claimed the pastor should forgive Kemi Olunloyo even though Kemi is unrepentant, and given any opportunity she will still attack him with unverified fake allegation.

The bible does not teach christians to be sitting duck for the devil to use as target practice.

Jesus made sure he died for the whole world, he was trying to pass a message, he wanted his death to pure, thats why he told peter not fight and he told God to forgive them, because they know not what they are doing. Its not that Jesus decided to be a sitting duck.

You can call yourself a christian now because Christianity still exists. Our Christian forefather fought with sword to preserve christianity. That is why when Ottoman Jihadi force came close to invading Rome, Romans did not play chicken in the name of forgiveness and allow Jihadis take over Rome. The momen they take over Rome, christianity will be wiped out of the world. Rome was the last strong hold of Christianity.

Romans made right the decision to fight and thats why we still have christianity today. Thats not all, Christian don't chicken out when they face the devil, thats why we have exorcism. This is to let you know we are not to forgive the devil.

But modern day liberal financial christianity has eroded all these and thats why Islam is taking over Europe.

The bible did not ask us to be cowards in the face of adversary. If your adversary repents you can forgive. If your enemy pursuing your life still wants to kill you, you run or defend yourself. Forgiveness has nothing do with survival.

Prayer and forgiveness will not stop Kemi Olunloyo, action will stop. The pastor has taken an action. He should not be blamed for that.

Its not against the bible for a church to fight a case in the court. E.g. someone attempting to steal a land belonging to your church. You dont sit and pray, you call the police and head to court.

Christians are reading the bible without common sense and knowledge.

Mtcheeewww! make una continue countering unaself and making Christianity look like a horrible joke of a religion. isn't worrying that Christianity is divided instead of united, with different opposing views?

The pastor is dumb. He's has made the lady popular thru his actions. By their fruits you shall know them. Fake pastors everywhere God will expose them all.

Kemi is great already. God bless her!

Op. you absolutely have know idea of what to write. Whenever you say the Lord's Prayer, do you actually took time to meditate on this line ". . . forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us..."

If you do, you would've understood that nothing or no strings are attached to forgiveness.

The Pastor should look inward into his own life and the profession he holds.

That line shows you are actually asking for forgiveness from God. Is Kemi Olunloyo asking for forgiveness.

I guess thats why people are dumping christianity lately. Lack of knowledge

Making popular or not, Kemi is already popular negatively. People know what she is made of when it comes to negative journalism.

The pastor is just putting her in her place.

The so-called powerful online blogger that can destroy anyone online is cooling off in prison. She is really popular

Christianity is not like Islam that some people teach you what they think is right and you obey it without doing your own research. Thats why I love christianity.

The premise for all this is false; the pastor may have reported the case to the police, but the police (along with the state attorneys) chose, based on the preponderance of evidence available, to prosecute.
Kemi Olunloyo is in court for criminal defamation, not civil defamation.
Pastor Ibiyeomies forgiveness does not matter here!

She's not gonna be negative this time around. Wen u act do it sensibly. This lady is gathering supporters from the international community. You can't just get som1 arrested because she's talking. That's the Nigerian story; the country where the rich oppress. It's sad! God will vindicate her.

Defamation of character is a criminal offense all over the world.

People get arrested for talking. Ask a law practitioner near you.

Many people have committed suicide due to bullying with word of mouth.

There are organizations fighting bullying and media trial. The pastor can also get supporters from them too.

Be informed

Hotwax,

The bible actually implied that christians should be sitting ducks.

I'm sure you know it is the truth but christians have a way of cherry-picking what part of the bible suits their egoistic morals.

Bible attests that jesus was beaten, stabbed, and crucified without putting up a fight.

Mathew 5:39; "But now I tell you: Do not ta revenge on someone who wrongs you. If anyone slaps you on the right cheeks, let him slap the left too." GNB

There's no way you can twist this without being an hypocrite.

Why are you being hypocritical about this.

Are the bible teachings meant for Olunloyo or christians?

Do you mean your pastor is playing god because Olunloyo didn't beg for forgiveness.

Is she the one who should obey this passage or the christians?

The bible reference was a teaching of christ instructing his followers(not Olunloyo) on how to pray.

Except you think your the pastor is perfect and shouldn't pray for forgiveness as instructed by the bible.

Our father who is in hallowed be thine name, thy Kingdom, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

What is the meaning of thy Kingdom come?

What is the will of God that is to be done on earth which was already done in Heaven?

Your pastor have failed to follow simple and clear instruction... "turn the left cheek" "forgive"!!!

Because I won't let your friend twist crystal clear statements, you jump in to derail the thread.

So much hypocrisy.

When you said your Lord's prayer, you ask God to forgive you your sin, just the way you forgive others.

Why are u asking God for forgiveness? Why can't you ignore God and say its your responsibility to forgive whenever I sin against you.

For that fact that you are praying for forgiveness means you actually know you are a sinner.

The big question now is:

Does Kemi Olunloyo know she has sinned or offended anyone? No. She is unrepentant.

Dont you understand the meaning of Lords prayer? Its a complete prayer.

Guy...there is difference between revenge and survival.

Prayer can't stop Kemi Olunloyo, action will stop her. You have to perform action to survive.

The pastor is not revenging.

Its a case of the devil working against a ministry of God.

You are still misfiring.

The thread is directed at the pastor's hypocrisy if he fails to forgive Olunloyo whether she is remorseful or not.

The question is; Does the pastor have any other choice but to follow the bible's clear instructions?

Who is forgiving who? You are in a war and you are forgiving an enemy pointing his arrow at you.

Meeen...this is common sense.

The enemy is not asking for forgiveness. The enemy is still bent on killing you.

Sorry, I thought many Christians have died as martyrs.

I didn't think the doctrines have changed.

Wake up bro.

You can't be a Christian and subscribe to common sense at the same time.
