So how do I go about the heating.
I read somewhere on this thread that kerosene lamps are not the best for DOC (maybe due to fumes/smoke), ...but I don't think the enclosure can house the birds and still accommodate a coal burner.
What if I have a steady power source, can I use 2 100watts bulb to provide both light and heat 24/7. Will it suffice?
Again what do you think of the vents around the box, with regards to ventilation?

Hi Emma, my five weeks plus chicks are pooing green. They are in cage. I did not give them leaves.

I have actually given them an antibiotics called doxycline. I bought it from feed seller. When i dont notice any change i bought amoxin today and administered it, a few hours later i saw they were more lively.

I lost one yesterday. They were having eye pain couple with the greem poo. I noticed the closing of eyes have stopped plus the pain but their poo is still green .

It looks like you have ventilation issue in your coop. Open up your poultry house and change the floor as soon as it's dirty.

You need an antibiotic that deals with respiratory related illment.

most farmers don't use immocox, I heard that it makes your chicks resistant to coccidiosis for 8weeks

Ground ginger and galric together and give them.

I had same experience with all my broilers. 20 of them almost going blind, i treated new castle and gave them antibiotics na lie, gave multivitamins na lie. I waa tired of giving them drugs and just tried out ginger n garlic together.

I grounded it and put it in their water for like four days consecutively. I must say that i started seeing some opening their eyes the very second day. Now they are all fine. I dont think my next stocking i will give of all those drugs. They dont do anything for them. I will just give ginger n garlic together for preventing any ailment.
