You can build with polystyrene, replacing the common block with the material. BUT it's more expensive than block, people who use it do so for its other properties eg sound, light weight, ease and neatness, not because it's cheaper.. It isn't.

How do you protect the polystyrene during the roof wood works?

Secondly if there are places that needs touching after the wood works, how is this done?

No sir,
it is a panel like structure. it can either be wired or plain depending on its use.

The woods are nailed in a way that it doesn't rest on the polystyrene and during transfer of wood to the building top, the carpenter should make sure the woods are not drag along the polystyrene surface.

we have a special adhesive called poly plaster that is use to screed the surface of the polystyrene and incase of little scratch after installation, you can use normal cement to screed those points.

it is 450 x 450 mm special design, it also has a reduce size of 350 mm x 350mm.
