The Igbo proverbs says that 'agwa bu mma nwanyi' translated to mean '(good)character is the beauty of a woman'.
Without disrespect to our ancestors, i beg to disagree! My argument: Have u studied the attitudes of ugly and beautiful girls? Have u not understood that ugly girls most times modify their character becos they're self conscious and tend to present themselves as 'good mannered'. Knowing it is their only leverage to a husband! Now the beautiful ones(though 'not yet born') are always confident and care less about their character. From these, u can infer that ugly girls have 'nice' character cuz they know they are ugly while the beautiful are 'arrogant' cuz they know they look good. Ofcourse there are ugly ones that dnt give a f*uck abt their character and there are beautiful ones with good character. But these rare exceptions. Ask urself, what if these ugly girls were beautiful, would they still behave the same way? So dnt be deceived! If u want a beautiful girl, go for her! No excuses! Then if u find urself with an ugly one, then its ur choice!

Both make a woman. Character goes a long way.

character is the first thing trust me, if you marry a beautiful woman, you will get
tired of her if she has bad character. Looks ain’t really nothing. A pretty face is too common
but a good character is not that common.

Anytim anyday i wil go 4 worwor gal with a gud character/manners when the tim com 4 mi 2 marry but 4 now i can mak do wit beautiful gals wit character or manners.

Ok let's be honest with ourselves. What first attracts you to someone? Is it not physical appearance? What makes me notice a guy? Isn't it 'oh he's cute',or 'he has a wonderful smile',or 'his teeth are amazing',or 'he has dimples', or 'he's ripped' etc,etc. I'm not going to be attracted to a wowo guy simply because the general opinion is that ugly people have better characters,or i won't be not attracted to a hottie because fine guys dont have good characters. I'l put all that aside and date who i wanna date,and i'm more likely to date a fine guy than a physically unattractive guy. That's the plain truth. Of course,when i start dating him and i find out he has undesirable character traits,then i'l leave. I cant say i'l go and marry someone i find physically unattractive or someone who's ugly because he has a nice character. I'l pity my future children.
