Akwa Ibom Bars N-power Beneficiaries From Teacher’s Recruitment by ITbomb(m): 1:47pm On Apr 26, 2017
Akwa Ibom State Universal Basic Education Board (AKSUBEB), Uyo, on Monday announces the commencement of 2017 recruitment process for engagement of 3,000 teachers into Public Primary Schools in the state. However, N-Power benficiaries have been barred from applying.

Collection of forms start from 8th and ends on 10th May, 2017, applicants are to submit duly filled application form on or before ONE WEEK from the date of collection.

Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications from recognized institutions: First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC), WASSCE, NECO, GCE or Grade II Certificate and National Certificate in Education (NCE).

3 categories of potential applicants are advised not to apply, they include:

– Holders of any certificate higher than National Certificate in Education (NCE)
– Those with NCE Statement of Result who have not collected their original Certificate
– All Beneficiaries of the Federal Government N-Power programmes.

Ok.... But why not screen npower volunteers who have NCE and absorb them automatically after due screening into the service instead of asking them not to apply...

Are they discouraging people from furthering their education This is not too good for graduates.

I don't why most of the state govt fail to understand, the objective of Npower program, for God sake this is not employment rather empowerment,how can empowerment stop you from employment

it will amount to a double source of income at the expense of others who have none and besides they stand a better chance of getting employment after the programme but when are they admitting the second batch

Since they want to recruit for primary school,N.C.E is good enough. This give N.C.E holders opportunity to claim right where they can.
