The question is 'why can't Soyinka stage a protest for the whereabouts of Buhari or even appear in the company of those asking after PMB? That is what we want for now and not the praises you're pouring on him. It's futile

Did you just type this? You are waiting for an 83 year old man to come and lead a protest for you. He has been doing this for over 60 years and you are still waiting for him to continue leading protests. 95% of his mates are dead and you don't even know the condition of Soyinka's health.

I am sure you are young enough to be his grandson, so you should still be strong enough to lead a protest. So please, let the old man rest and you should fight for what you believe in, rather than relying on an 83 year old man to fight for you. Please start a protest and people will join you.

President Buhari needs our prayer. Our president is giantly sick Today's non appearance is enough evidence
When Buhari demanded that yaradua be removed from power why did you tell him to pray for yaradua? Shior. He should leave there let someone better remove us from the mess he put us in.

And some Igbo youths will turn around and insult the erudite Prof. A man who at 76 years of age at the time, would still come out and protest against injustice - regardless of what tribe the victim was from.

This is a man that went to prison in his own country because he spoke against Biafra. He spoke out against military rule and tyranny. He has scares to show for it. Then some ill-mannered idiots will dare speak against him because he called out Jonathan.

Prof, we appreciate your struggle over all these years. You are one of the most distinguished Nigerians still alive and we hope you live many more years.
God bless you and your generation. The likes of soyinka , Gani faweyimin, Dele Giwa, Fela Anikulapo are the greatest nigerians that have ever lived. They put their lives on the line to fight for nigerians not considering ethnic or religious affiliations, yet some e_idiots would open there stinking mouths to haul insults at them just because their speak the truth about their kinsmen. When he has finished digesting the heavy meal, maybe he will remember to ask Buhari to speak to us.
Maybe.

People seem to forget these men are getting older by the day. That was about 7 years ago.
The man is around 83 years old now. If I were a close family member, I will even tie him down if he decides to go for any walk now. Its physically exhausting.
Even all the travelling he does about now is unnecessary, but some people die quicker if not kept busy
The real question is why are the younger generation not coming out, and doing protests about?
This guy in question has always been in the forefront of aluta against all forms of oppression from different govts even the military as a young man. His unionism started as a young man. But we the young of today don't care about such, and are ready to throw away our future to dogs.
He has done his own best, let us do our own. The time he has left on this earth is far far less than what he has already spent, so any alutas he's been doing for the past 10 years is not to his own benefit at all.

A thread about protest against umaru Yaradua's absence.
Showing soyinka protesting
Somehow u figured out a way to insult Igbos grin

Nigeria, cheesy e go hard o. No be only u sha, im sure there are igbos who will find a way to insult yorubas too. Igbos and yorubas, always at each others neck, yet somehow theres an increase in igbo-yoruba marriages grin

Anyways, soyinka has tried. My issue with him is that he was somewhat silent on the herdsmen issue until they came to his doorstep.

I could list several examples of massive corruption and looting that have been taking place since may 2015.
But this is the wrong place for that.
Besides, with your insults you sound like you just want to win an argument, rather than engage in an adult discussion.
