How it all went
The Cadet had a program to be hosted by Lasu (mini campus) in Lagos @ Epe. Involving Cadet members of institutions from different part of the country.
The program commenced on Friday and lasted for 2days. Segun Williams been an executive, (as we all know him as an active and dedicated leader) was the 3rd in command in Lautech in the organisation, so he had to be present at the camping, which he did.
The program ended a bit late, so all the members stayed back at the venue to return to their various destinations on sunday, since they ended late.
As they took off on Sunday morning in Lasu Macapolo Bus, they all admired the beauty of the beach which they saw on their way, so they all agreed to have some nice time before they finally depart to their different destinations.
So, they entered the beach...
After a while at the beach, the unfortunate happened. The C.O (commanding officer) of the Yabatech group was taken away by water waves, then Williams who couldn't wait to behold loosing a fellow, dived in to rescue the fellow. An eye witness said he actually got the first victim before they were both finally taken off by the water waves.
The other Cadets waited to see their fellow returned, just for them to realise that the day has turned a doom day.
Nothing to do...
Nothing returned...
None to rescue...
So they had to leave, hoping to recover the corpse 2days or 3days after as speculated by the staffs at the beach.
The Corpse was finally recovered on Monday evening at the beach by the relatives that traveled down to Lagos from Saki.
Williams' body will be laid to rest on Tuesday Morning.
