It just happened around 12:45pm today Wednesday 3rd May, the bus I was in narrowly escape armed robbers guns along okene - lokoja/Abuja road. Our bus was shot at but none hit us as our driver was totally experienced to handle the sudden burst into their midst.

Two jeep who tried to turn back was caught but we luckily escape.

Report reaching me is that police are there now and the 2 jeep occupants might have been kidnapped as the jeeps are seen there without their occupants and the robbers have escaped to the bush.

Insecurity everywhere

there is nothing like security in Nigeria today. the state governor should get to work

This Lokoja/Okene highway axis is something else, but God pass them.

Dat Road is not only bad but has become a hotspot for robbers and kidnappers... D foolish govt was quick to have police and military patrols at almost every 1km at d Abuja/Kaduna express because air traffic was relocated to Kaduna and as such d need to beef up security over d period d "VIPs" would use d Road..

Talking from experience as someone who did his NYSC in that axis,I can authoritatively tell U that is d handwork of Ebira haram or their fulani brothers.
They have successfully closed d Lokoja - Obajana - Kabba road to traffic.
