Birmingham Vs Manchester Utd [1 -1] On Saturday 9th Jan by Cristalz(f): 9:15am On Jan 08, 2010
Birmingham will relish the visit of United to St Andrews after putting together their best unbeaten League run since 1908. That comprises of 11 Barclays Premier League games – seven wins and four draws - while they extended the sequence to a dozen games with a 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest in last weekend’s FA Cup third round.
Birmingham are still without Garry O’Connor and Teemu Tainio but Stephen Carr returns to defence following a one-match ban. Sebastien Larsson, missing at Forest, should also return, as should Scott Dann.

United test Paul Scholes, Federico Macheda and Nani but are still missing Rio Ferdinand, Edwin Van der Sar, John O’Shea and Owen Hargreaves.
With a very good chance of being overtaken by Arsenal, Manchester United cannot safely afford to lose on Saturday.
All previously injured defenders are back on the pitch, with the exception of those listed above. Thus United should have a steady back line at St. Andrews, and a solid midfield as well.
Birmingham are currently in form, and will pose no small threat, especially as they play on home soil.

However, there have been speculations about the weather. Birmingham authorities have assured that the weather will be okay for the match though. A statement on the club's official website reads: "Discussions have taken place with the local authorities, the emergency services and the Premier League and there is nothing to prevent the match taking place at present.
"The club’s undersoil heating system means there are no problems at all with the pitch. Blues will continue to talk to the relevant authorities and monitor weather reports."

However, if you're thinking about traveling to St Andrew's for the game, you are encouraged to keep an eye on www.manutd.com and www.bcfc.com for further weather updates.

Match will be on Hitv - HiSoccer.

I think birmingham would be walking a tight-rope here. . . . UTD might not be at their strongest yet but the worst time to play them is on a back of a loss - Fergie's said he'll make major changes from the Leeds loss so you can expect all the very influential UTD players to start. Worse still, is that they'll have the fury of SAF at the back of their minds (did y'all see the look on rooney's face when he caused the goal against hull grin) - anything but all 3pts is unacceptable. . . . . not the UTD the b'ham players will relish playing against!

If the boys need any more motivation, here it is; Arsenal 2-2 Everton. . . . a chance to put a bit of gap between UTD and the on-form gunners.
