What Will You Need?
A school radio club need some
core equipment in order to run. This
includes:
Broadcast mixing desk.
Computer playout system (to play
music and record content).
Microphones.
Speakers & Headphones.
A 'mic live' light.
A very low power transmitter.
A radio receiver in each classroom.
A small space or radio lab.

What About The Legal Stuff?
You will not need a
broadcast license to operate a school radio club
, in fact the only time you need a
broadcast license is if you want to run a commercial FM, AM or DAB radio station that covers a large community or town. The school radio club signal will not extend beyond the walls of the school and will be strictly for educational purposes only.
