While the nurse was wheeling me away, there was just one thing on my mind. Yes they say its difficult finding a man that would love you to bone. That would love you enough to give up everything for you but I did find love. Even though I wasn’t exactly happy with the kind of life I lived. I still found love.

The nurses started preparing me for the surgery. Syringes were passed into my body and before the sound the monitor was making could register in my brain, I drifted to the dream land.

"But the surgeon said there might be complications with the dilator and all that" I said, wrinkling my face as I adjusted my body on the bed. I had been transferred from the theatre to the ICU. I was told I would be closely monitored for 48 hours anyway but the surgery was successful.

"Dear, there won't be any complications. I believe" He mouthed and gave me a light peck.

"Actually, there is something I want to ask of you" "What is it?" I asked as I made a mental guess of what he was going to ask.

"Baby. Please be my girlfriend" He finally spoke.

"Err. Arrh.. Fr.. Fred.. It is too soon. And are you sure you ain't saying this because of my condition? I don't want you to pity me"

"Love. This is not pity. It is real and deep down your heart you know it is real. Stop holding yourself back"

I heaved a sigh and tilted my head to the side. His fingers came and caressed my cheeks and then chased away the stray strands of hair on my face.

"I love you Fred and it is you I want to be with but I feel we have to get to know each other more"

"Then say yes so we can know each other the more. Even if it is not official yet, I still want to be your man."

"If any one else takes you away from me, I will sure break his bones" he said and flexed his arms to reveal his toned up muscles. I laughed.

"I love you so so much Victoria and I know we will pull through." He said. I smiled and traced my fingers on his arms playfully.

"So, is that a yes?"

"Hmm.. not exactly" I said.
He stood up and started tickling me on the bed. I began to shake and laugh so hard.

"Okay. Yes! Yes! Yes. I love you Fred." I screamed and slowly, his lips claimed mine. 'Now I have found home' I said inwardly as my breathe fanned his cheeks.
