Jeans , the fashion outfit, has served a long and classy purpose in the fashion industry; churning out different styles, cuts and design across decades since its launch in 1873 by
Jacob Davis and Levi Strauss .

Jeans has been only been known with fashion, but today, I can guarantee you that jeans (mostly worn out jeans ) can be mentioned side by side with Agriculture; and with the recent breakthrough in Nigeria , planting materials and other Agric inputs has grown into relevance. Worn out jeans can be one of such and with time, it will grow into relevance as well.

“Worn out jeans shouldn’t end their career in fire or waste bins; in fact, they should continue with agriculture as planting materials and blossom. And one of such area in which it could be used is in nursery preparation for pepper, tomato and some other selected vegetables.”

Worn out jeans can also be used to raise some horticultural plants like Aloe vera and other medicinal crops; likewise nuts, herbs, seeds, mushrooms etc. Elaeis guineensis (Oil palm) seedlings can be raised on it too.
Bothered about how to do it?
Carefully bud some wood together in an erect position, properly bridled. Nail the jeans at the top and kneel level. Apply soil (fertile soil) almost to the brim and plant your seeds.
NOTE: The jeans must be sewed at the bottom to keep the sand in place.
