The Afonjas are one of the tribes in Ilorin. They are part of the Yoruba race; they are not the dominant Yoruba tribe. So tagging Yorubas as Afonja is such a funny misconception that I'm sure most Nairalanders that know just ignored it because they knew it would have been borne out of ignorance.

Omo Oodua (Oduduwa) would have been a better "tag"
