Former Senate president, David Mark, has condemned the distribution of wheel barrows to youths by Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state
- Mark said while other state governors were commissioning projects, they are giving out wheel barrows to empower people in his state
- The photos of branded wheel barrows with the governor's name had been strongly criticised by Nigerians
- Ortom has since distanced himself from the wheel barrow controversy
Former Senate president, David Mark, has mocked Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom for the distribution of wheel barrows to youths in the state.
Mark threw jabs at the governor on Tuesday, May 23, at the Rivers state Government House during the commissioning of the remodelled Brick House, the former Government House in the state.
He said: “Whilst people are here commissioning roads, commissioning projects and all other development projects brought to Rivers state, in my home state (Benue), they are giving out wheel barrows to empower people.
“This is not my first visit to commission projects in Rivers state. I was here less than a year ago to commission one of the roads; I noticed tremendous improvement in the delivery of democracy dividends.
“When the next election comes, you don’t need to bother with all manner of propaganda; these works would campaign for you.”
The internet was agog recently when images of branded wheel barrows with the governor's name were seen, allegedly set to be distributed to some youths in the state.
The governor has since distanced himself from the branded wheelbarrows, saying that he did not order anybody to write his name on the materials.
he ordered the immediate removal of his name inscribed on the wheel barrows.

The same David Mark that asked a Master's degree holder from his village to stay back home so that the 'BIG MEN' would have boys who can provide Palm wine for them whenever the 'BIG MEN' come home.

Non of this people has shame. Is he mocking him albeit his(David Mark) numerous achievements or what? I expected him to enlist his own sequences of achievements for his 16years in Abuja as a Senator to counter the useless Otu abi Otom who shamelessly called out his graduate subjects to come and start pushing wheelbarrows. David Mark should go and sit on the floor, because if anyone must criticize the shameless man, he isn't the number 1 million behind the cue to do so.
