Poor or no drainage system

I doubt this man consulted a surveyor prior to building either.

It's not as if rainfall is a rarity in that part of the country.

Many of you who have not been to yenegoa are making comments blaming govt, engineers and others what you guys fail to understand is that 70% of bayelsa land is swamp.
If you get to yenegoa u wil understand. You would have to sandfill the land u want to build on and raise the dpc very high to survive.

Yeah ...that's true. Plus the land is very low, probably below water level....they will build on such lands and will never bother to raise the dpc. .

The problem with Yenegoa is no drainage
imagine how Kpansia,Okaka, Edepie, no single "gutter"... thats how many tarred Streets are even the major roads... azikoro, opolo, mbamia

the express Road that Dickson refuse to complete only have few gutters but it leads to nowhere and you know water will always find a new ground to cover when you don't channel it properly

Our people are always careless buying landed properties that are located at a lowland areas. On most circumstances, there is nothing anybody can do about it than just for such person to relocate. It's unfortunate
