Buk uses only your UTME score. so if you score 200 in your UTME and have 5 A1s in your olevel from a miracle center, you won't be eligible for the screening of some competitive courses like Nursing , Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy etc. you have to score 220 and above to be eligible for the screening of the above courses and some other few ones. Why majority of others are 200 and above, while only few are 180 and above. So even though it's located in the North, it's not a dumping ground for 'scorers' of 180. Below is the screening eligibility cut off mark for last year. 1. FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE 180 and above 2. FACULTY OF ARTS AND ISLAMIC STUDIES – B.A. ARABIC 200 and above – B.A. ISLAMIC STUDIES 200 and above All other programmes in the Faculty 180 and above 3. FACULTY OF ALLIED HEALTH Sciences 220 and above 4. FACULTY OF BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES – B.Sc. BIOCHEMISTRY 200 and above All other programmes in the Faculty 180 and above 5. FACULTY OF CLINICAL SCIENCES 220 and above 6. FACULTY OF COMPUTER SCIENCE & IT 200 and above 7. FACULTY OF COMMUNICATION 180 and above 8. FACULTY OF DENTISTRY 220 and above 9. FACULTY OF EARTH & ENV. SCIENCES – B.Sc. GEOGRAPHY 200 and above – B.Sc. QUANTITY SURV. 200 and above All other programmes in the Faculty 180 and above 10. BUK Cut off Mark 2017 – This is to inform all Bayero University Kano aspirants that JAMB cut off mark for 2017 has been officially released by the University. The Bayero University Senate has approved that all candidates who chose Bayero University, Kano as their first choice University in the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and made the cut-off marks are eligible for screening.
