In what capacity is he giving democracy message?

that's why he has dreamt of buhari departure, so he can have such federal freedom on issues and appointments that buhari hasn't really afforded him because of his own hawusa appointments too

In what capacity is he giving democracy message?

May be in his well deserved capacity as a leader of the first opposition party that defeated an incumbent president in Nigeria.

This man has an inflated impression of his personality.
It is high time he was put where he belongs

He needs to know that his political influence outside Lagos is next to nothing. Even in Lagos when the chips are down, he has not much influence unlike as he would always potray himself.

When a man imposes Governors, senators,Local Goverment Chairmen, and house of reps members on them like a feudal lord..rather than allow the people directly choose their leaders or representatives is now giving a speech about democracy. His hypocrisy stink!

The obnoxious pensions for former looting governors started in Lagos state under Bola Tinubu. it is a shame that Nigerians and by extension the whole of Africa are still bugged down in the rudimentary of governing themselves.Should we call the colonial masters back? After all, our stolen treasury are siphoned there and our sick presidents seek relief in their climes. Even our traditional rulers now reside and die there also.

Based on comments in this thread people are waking up to the devious and corrupt character known as Tinubu and I'm glad it is finally happening. Our political system has been controlled by a few oligarchs for decades now. Hopefully this triggers a much needed political revolution.

You can only deceiving few but not much.

Democracy without infrastructures/economy to providing Nigerians welfare.
Shameless Nigeria, other countries are building infrastructures and technologies, creating jobs.

Is the president not meant to release a democracy speech early this morning to us? OK he is sick and incapacitated and in the hospital but I thought they said osibanjo is the acting president?

OR IS THE "COORDINATOR" CLAUSE DOING MORE HARM THAN GOOD? because in his capacity as acting president, he is meant to address the nation.

This among others were the concerns raised by patriotic people who spoke against ambiguity in the constitution but they were shouted down and called wailers.

These are really trying times for Nigeria because it means osibanjo is just a figure head and can't make executive decisions.

The Nigerian youth need to be enlightened,we can't lose hope in educating them. They have fallen for the brainwashing and support their tribal leaders.

Why can't he give democracy day speech. He has aligned his pocket with his own democracy dividend. He fought for his pocket and he is still enjoying the spoilt of a conqueror. We have not been bless with good leaders in this country.

Today is Democracy day, a day a commissioner of police in Oyo State promised to kill protesting UI students because he feels he has the power to control his trigger happy men in mourning clothes to fire at innocent students exhibiting their fundamental human right , the same day the Vice Chancellor of University of Ibadan Prof Olayinka Abel shut down the University because he refused to give students what they paid for and believes the best way to get rid of them is to send them home. University of Ibadan boast to be amongst the best in the world yet, one of her faculties was denied accreditation, a faculty that is has existed over 30years.
I have seen lecturers who were overworked for peanuts as take home, yet these lecturers never complain, I have seen students who have been victimized for airing their views, yet we claim to be Democratic, as it is everywhere we now have elitist workers who looked down on other workers in the University community, worse than our political environment, yet we hypocritically shout "Democracy". My message to the oppressors is simple, continue your act, but remember one day you will be too weak to be in charge, and that day is near
