Recently after becoming a co-owner of US famous marijuana publication, High Times, Damian Marley, the youngest son of late Jamaican legend, Bob Marley has adopted a Wild Lion named, 'Mukoma Marley' in Kenya.

The award winning Jamaican singer, popularly known as Junior Gong arrived in Kenya for his concert on Monday and visited the Nairobi Animal Orphanage on Tuesday where he adopted the Wild Lion named 'Mukoma Marley.

According to Nairobi Wire, he adopted the lion in support of the ongoing conservation efforts by Kenya Wildlife Service.

Off course, we have zoos where animals are kept. So I wonder if what you guys call "animal orphanage" is the same we call a Zoo here OR two different things entirely.

Yeah, I am a Kenyan, and a bit surprised that there are no animal orphanages in Nga to cater for the young wild animals that have lost their parents.
People in Kenya can contribute to the animals' upkeep by "adopting" them, and so many international celebrities that have toured Kenya have adobted these animals; which include lions, girraffes, rhinos, elephants, leopards etc.

In Kenya, there are no such things as zoos. Instead we have wildlife parks
