The minister of information has said that those who want to judge the current administration must do so within the context of the situation the government met the nation after it took over power in May, 2015. He noted that the government inherited about 1.7trillion debts to indigenous contractors. He said the privatisation of the power sector, to put it mildly, could have been better done and rather than scrap it, the government decided to strengthen it by intervening in the liquidity issue between the generating companies and the gas suppliers.
