I will not write much stories about these people but you are free to carry out your own independent assessment and/or research. Though your effort may be fruitless because we're talking about a very high discreet thing here.

6. Orji Uzor Kalu- Introduced to the foreign intelligence circles by IBB when IBB was a guest of Queen Elizabeth 11 in London in 1989.

5. Sanusi Lamido Sanusi- In 1987, he was approached in Khartoum, Sudan, by a former CIA Chief who also doubled as US ambassador to Sudan. He was seen as a radical Islamist with western mindset who could be of great asset to checkmate strong and rigid Heads of Govt in Nigeria. He is on the Board of many CIA funded organizations.

4. Bola Ahmed Tinubu- Contracted by the CIA in Chicago, Illinois in 1978 and was later sent to work in Nigeria for Exxon Mobil Corporation in 1983 to continue his covert assignments

3. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida- CIA/M16 consider him as the smartest and most intelligent officer who has ever enrolled in the Nigerian military from 1960 till date. Monitored by the foreign intelligence services in the UK in 1966 when he attended Officers' Course 38 due to his brilliant but not until 1980 at the SIDM Course in the US that he was later contracted. He was later to become President in 1985 after collecting One Million Dollars from Chief MKO Abiola to execute a coup.

2. Gen Olusegun Obasanjo-During the Biafra war, CIA agents made contact with few Nigerian military commanders to further their mission and objectives during and after the war. Obasanjo was one of them but the CIA was skeptical and couldn't really trust his loyalty but his closeness with Theophilus Danjuma made them believe he could be useful after all.

1. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma-He was engaged in 1963, while still a 2nd lieutenant and platoon commander in the UN peace-keeping force in the Congo. He was tipped off by the CIA of an impending coup in 1976 and he himself later informed his bosom friend Gen Obasanjo.

Chief Abiola was a top guy but he is dead. Talking about those still living only. There are some not mention here but those ones are not too important for now. Abiola later overstretched his boundary by making friends with Fidel Castro and also having socialist inclinations. Worst of it all? He said the western world would pay reparation for the slave trade era when he became president and that sealed his fate

Though there are many CIA and other international secret and double agents in Nigeria! But of worthy mention should be Gowon, who worked with M16 and was adequately informed of the Dimka coup and was briefed in London and detailed to take over in the event of its success!
Infact it was after the failure of the coup and subsequent events that led the pressure on the US house of parliament to pass a bill restraining CIA from sponsoring coups in third world nations, though still goes on till date as a covert operation.
Also worthy of mention is Jamilla Tangaza who also acted as a double agent for M16 and Nigeria NIA,commissioned as a journalist with 8BC hausa, was responsible for the infamous 2010 Yaradua interview, where Nigeria was decieved into believing that Yaradua was the person talking when it was his brother....and list goes on!

Exactly! Remember I said there're others. The aimed of Dimka's abortive coup was basically to restored Gen Gowon back to power. The M16 were not really comfortable with Gen Murtala Muhammed as Head of State because they perceived he was having plans to divide the country. Yes, to divide the country! The British had earlier told him if he divide the country and rule the north that he will not have money to feed his soldiers because all the monies are in the south but he wasn't still convinced enough. He believed the north was better off being on its own. The M16/CIA had to order him killed so that he won't hatch his plans unexpectedly.

I believe the 1976 coup was the first time the CIA/M16 got involved in removing our leaders from power. The next one was in 1985

Sorry about that bro...that guy wanted to derail the thread. The Great Philanthropist called Chief MKO Abiola was a man I admired so much and who, even while still very young then, had to go to the stadium to welcome him to my state when he came during the 1993 presidential campaign period
