So so sad. We should be creating employment and not sacking those that are already there. pushing them on the streets to add up our already established economic crisis

Very sad, but if you think about it, our government has failed to drive the economy in such a way that allows businesses to thrive. Julius berger reported a 3.8 billion naira loss for the 2016 financial year, you can obviously see the resulting effect, cost cutting.

More have been pencilled down to go again.
Most companies are down sizing. Small companies are closing down because of high cost of doing business and low patronage.
Crime is on the increase now and succide rate is becoming alarming.

My fear is that there may be revolution with all these threat of ethnic group giving quit notices.

More companies will still lay off, even many companies can not pay salaries, some up to 13 months.

Explorer, what you have on fp may soon happen in Nigeria as people are loosing jobs left and right.
Even masqurade jobs promised by Mr. Lai is out of it. Yet Sarrki and mynd44 will be defending this government up and down
For the first time Mobil decleared a loss and the industrial crises still on.

How many companies are paying full salaries? Government workers are the worst hit? TVC Africa downsized, do you know why? Some programs on air that do not have any spomsors are no longer airing. Unemployment is alarming. ...we voted for change, enjoy it while it last

you forgot to add delisting of companies from NSE which would make people jittery, especially investors.

I made inquiries and found out that the 120 staff laid off are from their main yard at mile 2( Euro 65), d initial plan was to shut down their sagamu site by mnth end but seems like FG is trying to pacify dem. They have close to 600 staff at that site alone.
