I have always thought that it would be a good idea to have access to all CD /Fixed deposit rates offered by Nigerian Banks.

Unfortunately, there isn't a single point of access to this information.

And that is why I am asking the question.

Which banks provide the highest Fixed rates in Naija?

If you have information on the fixed deposit rates of banks , based on length of time and amount please post?

The Highest I have seen so far was 12.5 % which is Zenith but UBA will start with 11.25 % but drop to 8 % after several months

The point is this: No fixed deposit rate is FIXED !!!

You can always negotiate your rate, most likely dependent on the amount in question.

So, visit several banks (like 3-4), then you can make an informed decision that suits your purpose.

Hint: Nowadays, I won't recommend keeping money in banks.

I suggest you keep it with me.

It is better to invest that money. From what most people enter from atm fraud, i think it is not even safe in the bank anymore.
